Wordsoup Daily ("we", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects on iPhone, iPad and Android, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Your game data (progress, preferences, coins, streaks, completed puzzles) is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data and we do not operate servers that store it.
iOS: if iCloud is enabled, your game progress is stored in your personal iCloud account via CloudKit, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Android: your game progress is included in Android's automatic backup to your Google account, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can turn backup off in your device's settings.
We do not access your iCloud or Google backup data.
If you sign in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), your player ID is used to submit daily scores to leaderboards. This is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
The AI puzzle creator runs entirely on your device: Apple Intelligence on iOS, Gemini Nano (Google AICore / ML Kit) on supported Android devices. Your themes and the generated words are not sent to any server.
For free users, ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may collect the following data to show and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalize ads:

iOS: personalized ads are only shown if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Android: where required by law (for example in the EEA and the UK), the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalized ads are shown; the Android advertising ID can be reset or deleted at any time in your device's settings. If you do not consent, Google only serves non-personalized ads.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and linked to your Apple ID or Google account. We check the purchase status to unlock features, but we never receive or store your payment information.
When you tap a word to see its definition, iOS shows it from the dictionaries installed on your device. On Android the app opens Wiktionary in your browser, which sends that word to Wikimedia under the Wikimedia Privacy Policy.
Daily and streak reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to a notification server.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other personal information. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data, and we do not sell your data.
Wordsoup Daily is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your game data is stored on your device or in your personal iCloud or Google backup. We do not transmit or store your data on our own servers. Third-party services use industry-standard encryption, and all their network traffic is encrypted in transit.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
