Wordsoup Daily ("we", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Data stored on your device

Most of your game data (progress, preferences, coins, streaks, completed puzzles) is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not have access to this data.

1.2 iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your game progress is stored in your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not access your iCloud data on our servers.

1.3 Game Center

If you sign in to Game Center, your Game Center player ID is used to submit scores to leaderboards and unlock achievements. This is handled entirely by Apple.

1.4 On-Device AI

The AI puzzle creator feature uses Apple Intelligence, which runs entirely on your device. No prompts or generated content are sent to external servers.

1.5 Data collected by third-party advertising

For free users, ads are served by Google AdMob. When you consent to tracking via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, Google may collect the following data for personalized advertising:

If you decline the ATT prompt, Google will only serve contextual (non-personalized) ads and will not track you across other apps.

1.6 Purchase history

Your in-app purchase history (subscriptions, coin packs, lifetime premium) is processed by Apple and linked to your Apple ID. We verify purchase receipts to unlock features but do not store your payment information.

2. How We Use Data

App functionality: To save your progress, sync across devices, and manage premium features.
Advertising: To serve ads to free users via Google AdMob.
Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifying product interaction data may be used to improve the app experience.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any other personal information. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data.

4. Your Choices

Tracking: You can decline the ATT prompt when first asked, or change your preference at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Ads: Subscribe to Premium to remove all advertisements.
iCloud Sync: You can enable or disable iCloud sync in the app's settings.
Delete data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud data, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.

5. Children's Privacy

Wordsoup Daily is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising shown to users under 18 is non-personalized regardless of tracking consent.

6. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob — advertising
Apple (iCloud, Game Center, StoreKit, Apple Intelligence) — sync, leaderboards, purchases, on-device AI

7. Data Security

Your game data is stored on-device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not transmit or store your data on external servers. Third-party services use industry-standard encryption and security measures.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
